Updated Information: Pensacola Beach Run Half Marathon

Welcome Athletes!

We know you are all as excited as we are that race day is finally coming, and we at Pensacola Runners Association will do our best to make sure we all enjoy it!

Here is an update as to what you can expect for the Pensacola Beach Run Half Marathon, which will be very different from years past.

*Please note MASKS ARE MANDATORY AT PACKET PICK UP AND BEFORE AND AFTER THE RACE. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please make sure you help us by following all guidelines.

PACKET PICK UP

Packet pick up for Pensacola has been reduced to one day.

  • Friday, January 8 from 3:30 to 6:30 pm at Fitness Impact Training FIT located on 375 N  9th Ave (across from Waterboyz) Pensacola FL 32502

*Please make sure to pick up your packet if you live or work in Pensacola, Milton, Pace, etc.

Packets will be in alphabetical order, and if you were one of the first 250 to sign up, your hoodie will be in your packet. If it’s not there, it means you were not in the 1st 250.

We will be unable to exchange sizes since they were ordered based on your request.

Finishers’ medals will be included in the packets to avoid close contact at the finish line with volunteers and runners.

  • Saturday, January 9, 2021: 6:00 AM-7:00 AM, Race Day Packet Pick up at Casino Beach Pavilion, Casino Beach, Pensacola Beach, FL 32561

*PLEASE leave this time for Gulf Breeze/Navarre/FWB runners. We have limited volunteers, and we need to insure adequate spacing for your and our safety.

WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAIL PACKETS, NO EXCEPTIONS.

  • DURING THE RACE
    Please avoid large groups.
  • Try to stay in or near your car until start time.
  • We will mark the road to space athletes, so please pick a spot and stay there until we request
you to move or start, and wear your mask until you cross the start line.
  • Unless you are a fast runner, there is no need to place yourself at the front since your time will
start the moment you cross the start line. Please be patient. If you prefer to run at a leisurely
pace, please stay in the back.
  • **DO NOT discard your mask as you will need it when you cross the Finish Line, and we can’t
    leave trash behind.
  • Water bottles will be provided at water stops, so no need to bring your own hydration.

AFTER PARTY

  • We know how much fun the post-race parties are, but this year we will avoid it for the sake of
our health and safety. We apologize since we love them too, but SAFETY first!
  • There will be food and drinks at the finish line for you to pick up, so no worries.
    AWARDS
  • We will also skip the awards ceremony, but once we have the results, winners can go to the
awards table and retrieve their awards.
  • Please make sure you or somebody else picks up your award on your behalf.

DEFERMENTS

If you are concerned or feel sick, please make sure to let us know and you will be able to defer your entry to next year’s event with a $20.00 fee.  We apologize for this charge, but we have already paid for the various bills related to the race. If you have questions, concerns or can’t participate in the race due to illness, please contact Pensacolarunnersassociation@gmail.com
